Indonesian Cuisine: Presented by Fransiska Awasis

Telor Balado/Spicy Indonesian Eggs


  • 12 peeled hard-boiled eggs
  • Enough oil for deep frying

1 Long Eggplant (Chinese Eggplant)

Balado Sauce

  • 2 tomatoes
  • 3-10 red chilies (any variety, I typically use bird eye chilies)
  • 10 small shallots (or 1 medium red onion)
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 3 tablespoon oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon palm sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 5 Kaffir lime leaves
  • 1 Lemongrass

Nasi Putih/Steamed Coconut Rice

Pandan Leave
1 Can of Coconut Milk
